Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Building Compliance Manager (BCM), you’ll ensure compliance and quality in our pre-installation building works, working collaboratively with the Regional Build Manager (RBM).
In this role, you’ll be based/operate on the road and remotely, combining strategic oversight with hands-on field support. You’ll manage 5 Assistant Build Managers (ABMs) and help oversee a team of 20 builders, ensuring they have the tools, guidance, and support needed to excel.
Your role will focus on analysing key trends, resolving compliance challenges, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Directly managing 5 Assistant Build Managers carrying out technical building surveys.
  • Support the Regional Build Manager in managing the daily operations of our Assistant Build Managers and 20+ builders and subcontractors.
  • Oversee and maintain the training and development matrix, identifying skill progression opportunities for team members.
  • Conduct compliance audits on van conditions, health and safety, quality standards, and our customer journey.
  • Analyse and interpret data to produce exception reports, identifying trends such as aborts, overruns, and material usage.
  • Provide actionable insights to the Regional Build Manager (RBM) for improved field management.
  • Monitor project compliance and authorise costs related to technical building surveys while maintaining budget alignment.
  • Address on-site challenges and collaborate with the RBM to resolve issues in real-time.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for aborts and overruns, implementing preventative measures.
  • Foster strong working relationships across the team, ensuring alignment on compliance and quality expectations.
