Description Building and Equipment Maintenance Technician (TEMP TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY) Job Description – This role is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and efficiency of buildings, equipment, and electrical systems. The technician performs routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across multiple trades including electrical, mechanical, and general facility upkeep. Rate of Pay – $18.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE L&L Fabrication is an ASME Code vessel shop Holding U and R stamps. We offer ASME-coded work built to spec, along with repairs and maintenance on used pressure-rated equipment. ?L&L Fabrication, INC strives on quality work, meeting deadlines, and keeping everyone on the site safe. Job Title: Building & Equipment Maintenance (TEMP TO HIRE) TEMP TO HIRE Process and criteria, the candidate would be working under the terms of the role lasting for 60 days. During the temp to hire period the employee will be expected to follow the company handbook and be aware of the at-will nature of work. Unless directed otherwise by the employer the employment will be terminated on that 60th calendar day of employment. It is up to the company's discretion if a future opportunity will be extended, this can happen at any time during and following the 60-day employment window. Key Responsibilities · Perform routine inspections and repairs on building, plumbing, and electrical systems. · Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and building infrastructure. · Install, maintain, and test electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems. · Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs promptly. · Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. · Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory. · Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs. · Ensure compliance with safety codes and building regulations. · Assist with general labor tasks such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping. Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. · 2+ years of experience in building maintenance or electrical repair. · Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety protocols. · Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. · Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. · Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in varied conditions. · Excellent problem-solving and time management skills. Preferred Certifications · Electrical Technician Certification · HVAC or Plumbing Certification · OSHA Safety Training Work Environment · Industrial, commercial, or residential facilities · May require shift work, on-call availability, and working at heights or in confined spaces Work can be inside or outside, so expectation of weather and safety appropriate clothing. Typical weightlifting expectancy is regularly 50lbs, occasionally 75lbs, and in team settings 100+lbs. You may be exposed to noise around 90dbs; hearing protection is required and provided. Crush hazards are present, Hard Toe Shoes are required, and you will be required to wear another PPE dependent on the situation if special PPE is required, it will be provided.
