BUILDING ASSOCIATE/CONSTRUCTION ASBESTOS REMOVAL SUPERVISOR

FULL TIME - Salary package offered between $75,000 to $90,000.00 per annum based on skills, experience & qualifications
Adios Asbestos are a local Sunshine Coast business providing local communities with an education on, and affordable removal of asbestos. We hold all professional licenses and insurances and offer asbestos testing, free advice, asbestos removal, demolition and replacement of all materials, asbestos management plans, asbestos inspection reports and waste collection of already removed asbestos products.
We have over 25yrs combined experience dealing with asbestos in the wider community, specifically residential, industrial, commercial, council and government works.
We’re a community focused local business and are doing everything we can to raise awareness about the threat that asbestos poses, especially to home renovators!
We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Building Associate/Construction Asbestos Removal Supervisor to work within our business. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Building/Construction Asbestos Removal Supervisor will work with and coordinate their team to ensure the safe removal of asbestos materials whilst ensuring workplace health and safety methods and company practices are followed.

The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following tasks and duties:

  • Assisting the Operations Manager in preparing removal plans and the organisation of the specific job at hand Review job specifications, interpret plans, regulations & codes of practice
  • Inspect work sites to evaluate removal project WH&S documentation completion
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the team removing asbestos from ceilings, walls, floors and other structures and assign workers to specific tasks, such as setup of equipment, removal and clean-up of asbestos
  • Inspect company equipment and tools such as respiratory systems, air evacuation and filtration systems to ensure they meet company and government safety standards
  • Estimating timeframe, number of workers, supplies and equipment required to complete project Instruct and demonstrate workers in safe removal procedures
  • Monitor and inspect quality of work during project Maintain project records and order supplies
  • May assist workers in removal activities where required
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Operations Manager

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications, skills & experience:

  • Minimum Class B Asbestos Removal License / Qualification is a must Asbestos Supervisor License / Qualification is a must
  • White Card / Qualification is a must
  • Experience in asbestos removal industry / Experience is a must
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience at a supervisory level in the construction industry
  • Must be physically fit
