Summary: Open and close buildings, secure property, managing equipment, and ensure guests have exit prior to closing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Provide a professional approach and decorum with customers and fellow staff members and adhere to East Lawn’s Mission Statement and Values. Open buildings and prepare facility for guests at start of shift; secure buildings and ensure lights and equipment are turned off at end of shift. Escort guests out of buildings and grounds prior to closing. Ensure all areas are cleared before locking gates and doors. Lower flags (e.g., 911 Memorial flags) and ensure proper storage according to company protocol. Move golf carts and family van into the garage and secure all equipment. Patrol the building and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security. Assist with special functions or services as needed, including moving equipment, setting up rooms, or supporting staff. Perform light cleaning or tidying tasks as necessary to maintain facility standards. Other duties as required. This position is in a mausoleum, funeral home and cemetery. Noise level is low to moderate. May work in low light conditions, dusty areas, or outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
