WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED BUILDING AUTOMATED CONTROLS TECHNICIAN FOR THE WHEELING WV AREA!

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Automation Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building automation systems (BAS) to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC controls and networking to support commercial and industrial facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of field experience in the HVAC controls industry
  • Technical, hands-on experience with commissioning and programming of DDC controls
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
  • The ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience
  • Proficiency with writing code for controller sequence of operations
  • Proficiency with integration protocols (BACnet, Lonworks, Modbus, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented professional, and strong team player
  • Ability to bend & install conduit
  • Niagara 4 certified
  • Distech Controls experience a plus
Responsibilities
  • Installation of building automation system communications infrastructure, controllers, & ancillary devices on smaller retrofit projects
  • Implement databases, controls sequences, programs, and graphics for new construction and retrofit projects
  • Confirm implementation meets project specifications
  • Commission controls installation and verifies that control sequences meet specifications
  • Complete commissioning reports as proof of controls verification
  • Document installations for as-built control drawings
  • Organize and demonstrate required BAS project sequences to meet commissioning agents’ requirements
  • Represent the company by serving as direct customer contact during projects
