Description
The Opportunity The Building Engineer-Electrician will perform various tasks around the building with regard to maintenance. Work will pertain to HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, carpentry and painting. This position will provide customer service to the various departments and entities. The ideal person must be able to communicate well with co-workers and various departments. This position has an emphasis on electrical so a strong background in electrical will be required. In This Role You Will Support and maintain existing electrical systems and projects throughout the property. Gain proficiency in the arena’s building control systems, including HVAC, lighting, and automation platforms. Execute and manage facility-wide preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and safety. Assist the Engineering and Facilities Manager with building repairs, system upgrades, and ongoing maintenance tasks. Utilize the internal work order system to input, track, and close out all maintenance and repair requests in a timely and organized manner. Provide technical expertise and hands-on support for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned to support arena operations and special events. The Experience You Will Bring Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electrical systems maintenance, building engineering, or facilities operations, preferably in a commercial or public venue setting. Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) or vocational certification in electrical or a related technical field preferred. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and architectural drawings. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Self-motivated, dependable, and confident with a strong work ethic. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and its maintenance is a plus. Physically capable of performing job duties, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
