You'll use your building engineering skills and experience to contribute to the specialist analysis, design, development, and deployment of building services to support our customers’ needs and to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors to Fixed Network Sites. You’ll play a key part in developing smart, reliable engineering solutions for power and cooling across our national sites. Your work will span scoping, budgeting, project creation, and guiding each project from design through to construction and completion. You’ll also dive into technical feasibilities—everything from cost modelling to detailed engineering analysis—helping us make confident, informed decisions. Key responsibilities Deliver the FY26 Building Degradation Program across InfraCo’s Fixed Network Sites using strong planning and coordination skills. Lead or contribute to complex feasibility studies for priority assets, helping us understand risks, opportunities, and the smartest path forward. Identify practical, minimum‑viable engineering solutions that continue to deliver value for Telstra customers while opening doors to new commercial opportunities. Scope and budget design and construction projects, working closely with Program Delivery, Contract Management, and contractors to balance cost, time, and scope. This includes understanding how Capex and Opex decisions shape project outcomes. Champion safe work practices by meeting all HSE requirements and completing mandatory compliance training. About you You’re someone who enjoys solving real engineering challenges and collaborating with people from different backgrounds and disciplines. You bring technical capability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn, along with the confidence to speak up, share ideas, and help shape better outcomes. Technical experience in Building Engineering Services across areas such as AC/DC power, air‑conditioning, energy/renewables, or data centre services. Ability to interpret schematics, single‑line diagrams, and Australian Standards with accuracy and confidence. Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, especially when planning or navigating complex technical decisions. A collaborative communication style that helps you build trust with customers, contractors, and internal teams. Experience in capacity planning, project ownership, budgeting, and cost estimation for Design & Construct activities.
