Looking for motivated, reliable individuals for a position in design / construction career field for Building Envelope Group (Roofing, Waterproofing, and Exterior Walls). AutoCAD, engineering, consulting and/or construction experience is a bonus, but not required. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Computer / office work including AutoCAD, field reports, submittals, etc.
• Assist in assessments and investigations of roofing and wall systems.
• Collect field data for use in consulting / engineering services. Field data includes field measuring for roof plans / exterior wall plans, etc.
• Perform site visits / monitoring during construction to ensure do work according to specifications and drawings.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (drawings including roof plans, isometric details, elevations, etc.) is a plus.
• (Microsoft) Word processing, spreadsheets, and general computer skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to learn and understand project specifications, submittals, and other documentation, identify inconsistencies between actual construction and project requirements, and communicate these inconsistencies both verbally and in written reports.

Education and Experience, a Bonus, But Not Required:

• High School Graduate
• Technical program, associate degree, or equivalent experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / architecture

Physical + Environmental Demands:

• Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate lifting (approximately 50 pounds maximum).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and other access equipment.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license
