Year Round JOB TITLE: Building Maintenance Technician I DIVISION: Maintenance REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager LOCATION: Solitude Mountain Resort CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time / Year-Round / Hourly We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and help maintain the interior and exterior infrastructure of Solitude Mountain Resort. This position supports the care of all buildings and utilities, including alterations and installations involving electrical, plumbing, masonry, and general maintenance tasks that arise daily. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Perform basic carpentry (rough and finish) Complete painting, sheetrock, and texturing tasks Set tile and perform stone masonry work Install and repair flooring (hardwood, vinyl, carpet) Apply basic electrical and plumbing skills Support landscaping and irrigation maintenance Maintain and repair TV systems Assist with basic boiler and water heater maintenance Perform door repairs (man doors, garage doors, and gates) Install and repair roofing Complete cement work Support basic refrigeration repairs SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Ability to inspect and adjust pools and hot tubs in accordance with Health Department requirements Experience inspecting boilers and air movers, completing repairs and/or documenting needed maintenance Ability to complete work orders for resort buildings Skill in inspecting buildings, performing general maintenance, and noting major repairs Experience maintaining restaurant equipment, including refrigeration systems Ability to inspect, maintain, and repair exterior building features such as roofing, gutters, painting, and landscaping Willingness to complete special projects as requested by Solitude Management Ability to assist Level II technicians and other departments as needed Strong communication skills to report unresolved maintenance issues to immediate supervisor EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver’s License Willingness to participate in on-the-job training Previous maintenance experience preferred CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification a plus Please note that this job summary and outlined responsibilities reflect the general nature and level of work to be performed.
