JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and customer-focused Building Superintendent / Maintenance Person to manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our multi-unit residential properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the building, ensuring a high standard of living for our residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in property and/or facilities management
• Minimum 2 years plumbing, electrical, painting and drywall repairs experience
• Ability to perform general building repairs
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends and be on call for emergencies

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, etc.)
• Perform all aspects of suite turn-overs, including painting, and flooring repairs and installation
• Conduct regular building inspections and report any issues or safety concerns
• Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and vendors when necessary
• Handle tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure building systems are running efficiently (boilers, water heaters, etc.)
• Enforce building rules and policies
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours when needed
• Perform building landscaping during spring and summer months
