Position Title:  Building Maintenance Technician   Issue/Revision Date: 4/1/2018 Position Title: Building Maintenance Technician Area/Specialty: Maintenance Location:  ADVICS Manufacturing, LaGrange Georgia Department:  Maintenance Reports To:  Supervisor FLSA Category:  Hourly      Salaried -  Exempt Direct Reports:  No             POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Too facilitate in the manufacture of quality friction brake products by maintaining the building   POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:  1. Building Maintenance 1. Repair/Improvement of process equipment 2. Repair/Improvement of production equipment 3. Maintain shop area and apply 5S 4. Document all activities for management review 5. Complete special projects assigned 6. Continuous check of fire protection valve 7. Dust Collector and Fume duct cleaning 8. Perform all Dust Collector cleaning and maintenance 2. Safety 1. Safety checks on all facilities and equipment necessary to maintain a safe working environment 2. Maintain safety items assigned 3. Follow current lock out/tag out procedures 4. Follow current safety rules 3. General 1. Perform any fabrication tasks assigned 2. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor   KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:  * Follow all safety guidelines with special emphasis on correct lifting procedures * Strict adherence to 5S concept * Notify supervisor should problems with dies occur. * Follow work order system   Education and/or Experience:  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Minimum of 3+ years of experience with building maintenance.  Experience in welding a plus.   WORK ENVIRONMENT Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands or arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
