Description Building Maintenance Technician Pittsburgh, PA $24+ (based on experience) Arbors Management Inc. has an opening for a Building Maintenance Technician at two smaller Senior & Disabled independent living buildings (52 units total) located on the North Side of Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time position will allow you to use your skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall and grounds-keeping. If you enjoy performing a different task everyday as well as working with people, we encourage you to apply! Pay for the Building Maintenance Technician is $24 - $26 per hour. Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position will require on-call time for after hours emergencies. The on-call is shared with the other maintenance staff. What we Offer our Employees: Full suite of benefits including Medical, Dental, & Vision coverage, STD/LTD, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and other supplemental options Competitive pay based on experience Supportive and collaborative team environment Responsive and respectful Leadership Team Opportunities for further training and professional development Successful outcomes of the Building Maintenance Technician will include: Ensuring apartment turnovers are completed within 5 working days on average Completing work orders within 1 week of receipt on average (handling emergency work orders ASAP) Maintaining the cleanliness of all grounds and common areas including windows, floors, restroom, sidewalks, grass and other areas as needed Maintaining adequate inventory for common repairs and keeping the maintenance shop neat and organized Foster positive relationships with all outside vendors and contractors Communicate regularly with Property Managers and the Director of Maintenance Skills needed to to be successful as the Building Maintenance Technician include: Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the areas of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc. Ability to handle trash removal and custodial duties Grounds keeping including grass and snow removal Ability to utilize mobile device and laptop to complete daily tasks Solid communication skills to interact with Arbors team and with building tenants Requirements High School diploma or equivalent 3+ years experience working in a building maintenance position Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, stoop, crawl and/or climb for the duration of an 8-hour shift Must pass pre-employment drug and background screen Must have valid drivers license, insurance and personal vehicle GREAT attitude and willingness to learn
Responsibilities
