Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Troubleshooting and repairs of MEP building systems to include associated site equipment and machinery, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, roofs, drains, and general building systems
  • Clean, lubricate, troubleshoot, and service, a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, hydraulic devices, motors, pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic components, and control systems
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and modification of building equipment and systems
  • Replace and repair building finishes such as floor tiles, ceiling tiles, door hardware, ADOs, wallpaper
  • Experience painting walls, ceilings, and doors, and other facility areas
  • Execute, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade/improve maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities
  • Must possess competent knowledge of the use and care of hand and power tools, and equipment used in facilities and grounds maintenance
  • Skills, ability, and confidence to respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned
  • Knowledge and ability to inspect buildings, grounds, and related equipment, to identify unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, skilled and experienced at preventative maintenance activities, etc.
  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as Fire alarm systems, fire pump systems, and related fire protection systems and equipment as assigned
  • Perform carpentry repairs to furniture and building components when necessary
  • Performs work in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, government agency, and company directives relating to building operation and safe practices/work habits
  • Ability to use technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, (BAS) building automation systems, etc.
  • Willing and able to complete all required C&W Safety and workplace training
  • Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code in the workplace and maintain a neat, clean appearance at all times while on the property
  • The 7 days per week work schedule includes weekends and STAT holiday shifts. STAT holiday work to be paid accordingly** Current shift schedule is 4X10 (4 shifts/week X 10 hours a day) the schedule rotates every 4 weeks. Shifts and work day assignments can change based on business demands

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4 + years of related facilities maintenance experience in a commercial property setting

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful confirmation of reference and background checks, including a criminal offenses check
  • Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least two of the following areas: electrical, PLC controls, HVAC, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or automotive repair
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) and good driving record with periodic checks
  • Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
  • During certain shifts, you will be the only maintenance staff member on duty. May be required to work extended periods of time when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments): This position also requires alternating stand-by and/or on-call duties
