Description Camelot is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician I to provide preventive, corrective, and general building maintenance at one of our commercial client locations. This position works in a supervised, professional environment, supporting daily facility operations through routine maintenance, inspections, and timely response to assigned work orders. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, water filters, and miscellaneous jobs, and handyman work as needed. Complete basic repairs, including patching, painting, furniture adjustments, and cubicle modifications. Conduct daily walkthroughs and inspect building systems (HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, UPS backup, and more) and report findings. Assist with meeting room setups and other facility support needs. Escort contractors and vendors and coordinate repairs as necessary while understanding the scope of work to update the client, supervisor, and/or the work orders within the computerized system. Update and manage assigned work orders using a computerized work order system (CMMS) Create and maintain equipment listings and Excel spreadsheets for tracking maintenance tasks and inventory Monitor supply levels and order basic materials as needed Troubleshoot basic A/V equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment while following OSHA safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 1–3 years of commercial maintenance experience preferred General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems Basic computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Windows Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work professionally with client, supervisors, coworkers, and vendors. Ability to take initiative and learn new job scopes (when needed) Reliable and responsive to client requests Professional and neat appearance Work independently or collaboratively with facilities team members and the client. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
