Job Details Job Location: FLA-Ocala Corps - Ocala, FL 34470 Position Type: Full Time Regular Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Salary Range: $14.00 - $14.50 Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Property Schedule/Hours: M-F 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break (40 hours per week). This position is responsible for: Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles; performs routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape; performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work. Key Responsibilities: Performs routine building maintenance activities; performs minor pluming repairs required by leaking faucets and clogged toilets; performs carpentry work required to repair dents and/or holes in walls and paints walls. Performs preventative maintenance of Salvation Army vehicles; monitors and replenishes all fluid levels. Sweeps, vacuums, strips, mops and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks. Assembles and moves office furniture including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects. Ability to use and maintain maintenance equipment and tools effectively and in a safe manner. Ability to maintain driving ability according to State, DOT, and Salvation Army policies, procedures, and certifications. Work requires driving a vehicle and working outdoors daily with exposure to physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
