We’re seeking a Building Maintenance Worker who’s skilled, reliable, and ready to tackle hands-on challenges. If you’re a clear communicator, adept at solving maintenance issues, and eager to grow in a dynamic environment, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
Perform general maintenance and repairs, including drywall patching, painting, door/window hardware replacement, and troubleshooting basic plumbing (e.g., unclogging drains, replacing faucet cartridges) and electrical issues (e.g. resetting breakers, changing out a thermostat) in suites and common areas.
Conduct preliminary troubleshooting, resolve minor issues, and escalate complex problems to specialized trades (e.g., plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians) as needed.
Maintain outdoor common areas, including mowing lawns and irrigating landscaping in summer and clearing snow and ice in winter to ensure safe access in Kelowna’s variable climate.
Coordinate with tenants to schedule and complete repairs, delivering professional, courteous service while addressing concerns efficiently.
Support preventative maintenance programs, such as servicing HVAC filters, basic visual inspecting boilers, pumps, MUA, to prolong the life of building systems.
Document work orders and maintenance logs using property management software (Yardi) to track tasks and ensure timely completion.
Who You Are:
Clear communicator in English with a professional, problem-solving mindset.
Physically capable of handling daily tasks—walking, bending, lifting (5–50 lbs), and proficient with hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, multimeters, pipe wrenches).
Skilled in routine maintenance tasks, able to diagnose minor plumbing leaks, HVAC inefficiencies with minimal supervision.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced, tenant- focused environment.
Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for work orders, digital reporting, and communication.
2–5 years of experience maintaining multi-family buildings (100+ units) or similar properties.

Full-time role (44 hours/week): $24–$35/hour based on experience.
