POSITION SUMMARY

This position works closely with the ROC BMS Technicians and BMS Analysts to repair, adjust, and calibrate field hardware within the building control systems. This position is based out of the Facilities Services Remote Operations Center (ROC) to support facility-based plant personnel to maintain optimum performance of plant equipment. This position may include field service and/or remote servicing of the Building Management Systems (BMS) across the organization as well as interaction/coordination with our facilities staff and Development and Construction Partners. This position is responsible for conducting preventative and corrective work to the local facility center’s operations of the power plant and facility infrastructure equipment including, but not limited to mechanical equipment, boilers, co-generator engines, chillers, and emergency generators. This position also requires participation in reviewing construction and remodeling project documents as well as contracted mechanical work and assessment for code compliance and alignment with Banner Standards as well as compatibility to existing mechanical and electrical systems. Works with and supports local Facilities Teams in completing required tasks. As required, attends annual code compliance and update training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires three or more years of diversified work experience as a plant mechanic, stationary engineer, boiler operator, or refrigeration mechanic and the ability to demonstrate advanced skills in the field of plant operations.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, plus vocational or technical training. Must have working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems and components common to the healthcare environment. Must be able to exercise independent decision making and judgment in the performance of all duties. Requires the ability to work safely and effectively with infrastructure and utility equipment. Must be proficient in reading and understanding related and required maintenance and construction documents. Must possess a valid drivers license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to work effectively with plant computer software programs and common office software programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Requires working knowledge and certification as required of applicable regulatory codes and state and local building codes. Previous construction experience is preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
