SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to walk multiple floors hourly and maintain strict adherence to patrol schedule.
  • Able to recognize and respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Reliable communication skills to alert emergency services and management without delay.
  • Must not perform any additional duties beyond those required for fire watch, per code compliance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to safely lift up to 40-50 pounds following appropriate safety procedures

Responsibilities
  • Conduct hourly fire watch patrols: Walk all 16 residential floors, 3 parking levels, and all common areas every hour on the hour to inspect for signs of smoke, fire, or other hazards.
  • Report emergencies immediately: In the event smoke or fire is observed, promptly contact the fire department directly and notify property management.
  • Monitor fire alarm system: Reset the building’s fire alarm system throughout the day as needed, following established procedures.
  • Surveillance monitoring: When not performing patrols, monitor building security cameras to maintain awareness of potential fire or safety concerns.
