POSITION SUMMARY

As the Building Operations and Maintenance Manager, you play an integral role in the operations of the branch building, including overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operating conditions of systems and equipment. In addition, you are responsible for ensuring the branch is a safe work environment for all employees, customers, and contractors.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • OFA Level 3 certification – or willingness and ability to obtain ASAP
  • 2-5 Years of commercial building operations and maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roofing
  • Experience with accident investigation, workplace inspection and job hazard analysis
  • Thorough understanding of current WorkSafe legislation and OH&S regulations
  • Strong sense of urgency for following through to address issues, meet deadlines and commitments
  • Excellent problem solving and organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects
  • Experience and/or knowledge in heavy equipment industry is an asset
  • Adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, projects management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing
  • Superior customer relation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical background and capable of communicating with technicians and customers

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
