OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:

The Building Operator position will provide quality hands-on support in the field of Building Operations/Power Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong planning, organizing and multi-tasking abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced in the use of SAP, ECMS and OLT
• Able to balance multiple priorities in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organization
• A trade certificate or power engineering certificate would be considered an asset
• Able to interpret policies and procedures to guide decision making
• Able to interpret technical drawings/blueprints
• Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service and leadership
• Must have exceptional knowledge of the Suncor permitting & lockout/tag out systems
• Must be proficient in using MS office programs

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Must have OSSA BSO or CSO training certificates.
• Valid OSSA accredited Elevated Work Platform, Confined Space and Fall Protection
• Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence and Abstract with a clean drivers abstract.
• A minimum of 3 years related work experience.
• Must be able to meet pre employment D&A testing requirements
• Experience in maintenance work in the Fort McMurray oil sands is considered an asset
• The successful candidate will be safety conscious, self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated a history of safe work practices
