ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must be available to work on-call/standby after regular business hours and respond to emergency calls to provide sufficient building coverage.
  • The role will require regular travel to a portfolio of buildings thus, a valid driver’s license and clean abstract will be essential. A personal vehicle will be utilized and mileage reimbursed.
  • You must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, climb ladders, lift loads up to 50 lbs. and operate common hand tools.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As Building Operator, you will carry out the day-to-day execution of operations and maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted tenant operations. You will ensure that set properties are maintained safely and to the highest level of operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Receive incoming work orders and follow through to resolution.
  • Respond with urgency to assigned tenant escalations.
  • Urgently respond to incidents, ensuring life, property, and reputation are protected. Support restoration efforts and insurance claims.
  • Complete assigned preventative maintenance activities.
  • Obtain multiple quotes for operational repairs as needed.
  • Attend site to assist vendor access as required.
  • Complete meter reading tasks on a monthly basis as required.
  • Advise on any discovered equipment issues promptly and follow through to resolution.
  • Ensure all procurement activities follow FCR policy.
  • Complete compliance inspections as assigned. Resolve compliance deficiencies as assigned.
  • Utilize existing Operational Technology and assist with the deployment of new initiatives.
  • Update asset inventory data regularly as requested.
  • Assist with the preparation of building certifications applications. Ensure ongoing requirements are met for current certifications.
