Job Description We’re seeking a skilled Building Physics and Sustainability Engineer to join the Facades and Sustainability team in Brisbane. In this opportunity, your impact will be in using your specialist technical knowledge to contribute to project design, documentation, administration, and delivery for projects locally in QLD and nationally. You will be responsible for: Providing ESD design and buildability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques. Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants as architect, structural, facade and acoustic engineers to determine best ESD design outcomes. Provide design sketches and reports as required for schematic, design development and constructions phases of projects. Project manage assigned projects, taking on responsibility for site meetings, design workshops, site inspection as required and/or as project planning stipulates Manage project financials, resourcing (inclusive of management of subcontractors) and reporting against timelines and budget/s, Assist with preparation and coordination of tender submissions and similar consulting proposals Qualifications This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and passionate engineer with a minimum of 3+ years’ postgraduate experience in a similar role within professional services or engineering consultancy. Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Materials, Building Sciences Engineering (or similarly relevant) Demonstratable knowledge of relevant industry frameworks pertaining to ESD and building physics Experience in ESD design and ability to consult to a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders on buildability Experience managing projects from conception to delivery, independently or as part of a team A good attitude toward developing junior engineers and designers through active mentorship and participating in team development A collaborative, hands-on approach with strong communication and client engagement skills Additional Information We are open to considering this role on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.
