Maitland City Council is looking for a skilled Building Projects Officer to join the Building Services Team, to provide support in the coordination of service and building contracts and projects.

As the Building Project Officer, you will be responsible for the coordination of service and building contracts and building projects. This role involves supporting the operations of Council’s building services functions through a customer focused approach. Overseeing the inspection of buildings and facilities, making recommendations for repair and maintenance works Help coordinate and supervise reactive and scheduled maintenance works and when required, undertaking and supervising emergency works.
In addition, the role requires a proactive approach towards small scale commercial building construction projects and maintenance, to ensure each project is carried out in accordance with the approved design, plans and specifications, budget allocations and time constraints.
Projects may include refurbishments, alterations and additions to any of Councils buildings including sporting facilities and buildings, aquatic centres, administration and operational facilities, community buildings and heritage buildings.
