ABOUT US:

Cannock Chase Council currently manages a housing portfolio of approximately 5,100 properties. We are proud to deliver both a new build programme and a planned investment programme of over £8m to repair and improve existing housing stock in order to provide a quality service and outcome for our residents.

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for someone who has relevant knowledge and experience of working within an enviroment delivering planned maintenance and upgrade works, particularly if you have experience of working within the Asbestos, Fire or Water Hygiene industry; you will have GCSE’s in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above (or equivalent vocational or academic experience).
You will be capable of effective communication with people at all levels both externally and within the organisation. You will have excellent IT skills with a proven ability to develop software to improve effective working methods and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages in your day to day work.
You will have strong data analysis skills and always be looking to improve the service we deliver.

Responsibilities

A typical day for you would include:

  • Assisting our Technical Officers with the management, monitoring and organisation of planned and cyclical works by providing valuable administrative and IT skills. Such as data entry, data analysis, customer profiling and electronic record keeping.
  • Managing the day to day activities of the Fire Protection Access Procedure, which includes liaising with contractors, tenants and our Tenancy Services Team to ensure we gain access into our homes and carry out the Fire Safety Checks.
  • Assisting the Technical Officers with identifying trends within the Access procedure and repairs activities to help improve our service delivery.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and complaints. Helping our tenants with any questions or queries they may have.
  • Planning works for our Building Safety Operatives.
  • Checking our Digital Logbooks are up to date and ensuring all works are planned in.

You will play a key role in helping Cannock Chase Council deliver its vision of providing safe, comfortable, affordable and sustainable homes for our customers.
