Your Main Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and document visible conditions affecting the vertical and horizontal building envelope through inspections, testing assistance, exploratory openings, surveys, infrared thermography, etc.
- Provide recommendations to optimize the performance of roofing and vertical envelope systems by proposing preventive or corrective interventions or repairs.
- Prepare budget estimates and work schedules.
- Participate in surveying existing conditions, drafting plans, writing specifications, estimating costs, and supervising construction work.
- Assist in drafting various documents such as inspection or supervision reports, technical notes, and others in collaboration with engineers.
- Provide consultation and technical support (responding to clients, offering technical advice on material selection, compliance with standards, or preventive maintenance).
- Participate in internal and external coordination, verification, and monitoring of building science projects in various sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural, and residential).
- Provide technical assistance during on-site construction work.
- Work closely with engineers in developing solutions tailored to client needs.
Your Profile
- College diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
- Membership in the Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec is an asset.
- Between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in building science (roofing and envelopes).
- Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and REVIT software.
- We are looking for someone who is rigorous, adaptable, and flexible, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and who demonstrates strong teamwork and a keen sense of customer service.
A valid driver’s license and ASP construction safety card are required for this role, as site visits will be necessary.
