SALARY FROM £53,204 TO £61,301 PA INCLUSIVE WITH POTENTIAL TO PROGRESS TO £68,119 PA INCLUSIVE OF LONDON ALLOWANCE

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Building Services Manager to join our Facilities Management team. This role involves overseeing the implementation and management of maintenance services, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting the delivery of projects across the estate.
The Building Services Manager will chair management meetings to review the performance of service contracts, ensure compliance, and manage the safe operation of plant and equipment. You will collaborate with Capital Development and Project Managers to ensure all new and refurbished installations meet required technical specifications and statutory regulations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of long-term maintenance plans for both the Campus and Halls of Residence.

Candidates should have:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare technical and management reports to support informed decision-making by senior management.
• Evidence of chairing management meetings to review contract implementation, monitor compliance, and evaluate plant and equipment performance.
• Ability to produce and manage technical specifications, logbooks, and work instructions in accordance with current legislation.
• Experience in collaborating with Capital Development and Project Managers to provide accurate technical information, ensuring compliance with Estates standard specifications, statutory regulations, and relevant EU directives.
• Experience in the implementation and management of policies for the control of Legionella, F-Gas, Gas Safe and Asbestos.
