BUILDING SERVICES MANGER
Willmott Dixon are currently recruiting for a Building Services Manager to join our London & East construction business. This will be a hybrid role with a 50/50 split of remote and office-based working from our office in Hitchin. You will be involved in projects across North London, the northern home counties, and East Anglia, helping us secure and set up high-quality schemes through expert MEP input at bid and early design stages. This role will be preconstruction focused, you will shape the success of complex, multi-sector projects from the outset – ensuring our MEP strategies are commercially sound, technically robust, and aligned with delivery expectations. There may also be the opportunity to oversee the end-to-end delivery of MEP packages on live projects.

Some of the duties / responsibilities within this role will include: • Managing the technical appraisal of MEP designs during early project stages to ensure quality, risk mitigation, and commercial viability • Providing strategic advice on procurement, delivery methodologies, and MEP supply chain engagement during the tender process • Building strong relationships with our MEP supply chain partners to ensure they deliver to budget, quality and time deadlines • Carrying out detailed design reviews to validate compliance, value for money and buildability • Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful transition from preconstruction to operational phases • Managing MEP commissioning and ensure seamless integration with the construction programme to achieve defect-free handovers. • Supporting utility engagement, coordination, and risk identification throughout preconstruction • Collaborating with estimators, planners, bid managers and design teams to produce well-informed, competitive tender submissions • Helping to define sustainability and technical delivery targets in line with our “Now or Never” strategy • Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to internal reviews of building services elements across bids
