We are a professional surveying practice dedicated to delivering high-quality property surveys and reports. Our team provides expert advice and trusted guidance to clients across residential and commercial sectors. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Building Surveyor to join our team to carry out RICS Home Surveys (Levels 1, 2, and 3).

REQUIREMENTS

  • MRICS or AssocRICS qualified (or working towards accreditation).
  • Proven experience carrying out RICS Level 1, 2, and 3 surveys.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, pathology, and property law.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong IT skills (reporting software, MS Office).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if required).

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience in both residential and commercial property surveys.
  • Knowledge of valuation methods and property appraisal.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking residential and commercial building surveys, preparing professional reports, and advising clients in line with RICS standards. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, clear, and reliable information to help clients make informed property decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct RICS Home Surveys (Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3).
  • Undertake building inspections and identify defects, structural issues, and potential risks.
  • Prepare detailed, clear, and accurate survey reports for clients.
  • Provide professional advice on property condition, repair, maintenance, and potential costs.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with RICS regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders professionally and promptly.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in surveying.
