BUILDING SURVEYOR - TEMPORARY

Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
Salary: £28.00 per hour
Location: Office based in Gosport Town Centre
We’re excited to recruit for a fantastic opportunity with one of our long standing clients, a reputable housing provider committed to maintaining and enhancing their properties.
Join their dedicated Building Repairs Team, where you’ll work closely with the Building Repairs Manager to ensure homes remain safe, secure and well maintained.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle is essential
• HNC level preferred or equivalent
• Experience with day to day response repairs in housing or commercial setting
• Strong knowledge of building construction and fault diagnosis
• Understanding of building-related legislation and its application
• Familiarity with health & safety regulations, including working at height and asbestos
• Strong planning and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills

• Be part of a dynamic team managing building repairs and voids services in line with the NEC3 term service contract
• Handling contractor payments, audits and more
• Survey, assess, and diagnose our diverse housing stock, keeping assets in great condition. You’ll issue repairs and manage varied projects
• Lead exciting repair projects from external decorations to re-roofing, fire upgrades, window replacements and more (project value up to £50,000)
• Support and step in for the Building Repairs Manager, overseeing apprentices and surveyors
• You’ll help manage day-to-day repairs, DFG works and complaints
• Build strong relationships with residents, leaseholders, local councillors and more. You’ll investigate complaints and disrepair claims with care
• Drive service improvements by managing asset repairs, ensuring accurate stock data and prioritizing planned maintenance projects
