PERSON SPECIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineer in construction, mechanical or electrical.
  • Training: Engineering school or university training (Bachelor or Master’s degree) with 3-5 years of experience
  • Skills: Knowledge of building techniques, technical equipment, fire safety regulations, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present a professional and knowledgeable persona
  • Great understanding of costs related to defects, improvements and construction
  • Autonomous, rigorous and organized, you have a flair for analysis and synthesis, and are able to draft documents.
  • Build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships
  • Open-minded and communicative, you know how to work as part of a team in an international context.
  • You will need to be diligent and pro-active with the ability to prioritise and act on your own initiative
  • Fluent English essential (written and spoken).
  • B driving license required
  • Excellent command of Pack Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel within Finland.
Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

Within CBRE Project Management & Building Consultancy department (Consulting, development and project management solutions for our investor, owner and corporate clients) and more specifically in the Technical Due Diligence field, you will be responsible for carrying out consulting instructions for investors and users. This opportunity for a position with 3-5 years of solid and relevant experience in the field of technical due diligence, RCA and dilapidation works.
The candidate will predominantly be working with both internal and external investor and occupier client ranging through international corporate occupiers, national / international investment funds.
The candidate will predominantly be involved in providing dilapidations advice/negotiations to both landlords and tenants, technical due diligence/surveys for investors and occupiers and specifying /running refurbishment works. Additional and more occasional roles will include defect diagnosis, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and Reinstatement Cost Assessment surveys.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be responsible for the following services:
  • Assessment of the building condition: structure, roof and technical equipment.
  • Assessment in terms of compliance with current regulations (fire safety, solidity, lead, asbestos, etc.).
  • Capability to Analyse environmental risks (soil pollution, flooding risk, etc.), is considered a great addition, but not required.
  • You will draw up detailed reports, minutes and costed estimates for refurbishment or optimization work on real estate assets.
  • Your customers are national and international key accounts,
  • Take responsibility for the management of client and instructions and project teams to deliver high quality and timely building surveying and project services profitably mainly in the office, logistics, residential, retail and hotel sectors.

  • The majority of deliverables are to be written in English.
