Overview Unity Point St. Luke's-Downtown Full Time Rotating Shift, will include nights and weekends Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position requires knowledge of all the electro-mechanical systems of the hospital and its outbuildings. It also requires an expert knowledge in the areas of hardware application, networking, troubleshooting, programming and commissioning the hospitals building automation system. The incumbent must have experience in HVAC pro software applications. Knowledge of safety equipment to maintain these systems as well as safety equipment used in health care facilities. This incumbent will work from blueprints and use and maintain hand and power tools. The position requires that the incumbent follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for construction projects, corrective maintenance, and preventative maintenance. Why UnityPoint Health? Installs, expands, troubleshoots, and maintains building automation systems, ensures data based generation of critical equipment records are up to date and recorded. Is capable of using graphic programming language, ladder logic and HVAC Pro software, in hospital building automation system. Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots facilities building automation system either net. and N2 network. Has a general knowledge of the operations and functions of the hospital addressable fire system. Tests, repairs, and maintains the hospital fire and smoke dampers, and maintains all records of tests and repairs. Shop and mechanical rooms are kept clean and free of unnecessary items. The Maintenance Manager is to be informed on all projects so that appropriate communications can be maintained with other departments. Additional training and/or self-development is required to maintain and update skills necessary to operate and repair current and new equipment. Suggestions for improvement of equipment or management policies are to be made to the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred. Experience: One (1) to Two (2) Years Previous HVAC Experience preferred. . Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints. License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons required.
