STV is hiring for a Cities National Market Sector Leader (Cities MSL) joining our national Buildings Group. As STV’s Buildings’ Cities National Market Sector Leader (Cities MSL), you are responsible for leading STV’s efforts to become a recognized and respected leader in place strategy development. You build on STV’s existing relationships and leverage your professional network to increase the pipeline of opportunities that translate into revenue, project delivery, and - over time - the growth of a team that significantly expands STV’s footprint in this market. You serve as a Subject Matter Expert, using thought leadership, innovation, and best practices to elevate and differentiate STV. As a respected seller‑doer in an external‑facing role, you develop market growth and visibility plans, lead pursuits, represent STV across the industry, and recruit key hires. You report to the Buildings National Development Director and collaborate closely with Buildings’ Area Managers and intra‑divisional partners throughout STV. Market Growth & Major Pursuits Develop an annual Cities market growth plan and lead implementation. Collaborate with Buildings National Development Director and Buildings’ Area Managers to develop annual targets and goals for Cities Market pipeline, revenue, and sales. Identify and lead Cities Market major pursuits nationwide. Lead and/or support relationship development efforts for current and prospective Market-specific clients nationwide, collaborating with Buildings AMs when these clients are within a Buildings Area. Build/strengthen relationships with Market-specific teaming partners. Strengthen and grow Market pipeline. Research, network, collaborate, and coordinate to identify opportunities months, or even years, before anticipated solicitation release. Set meetings that may include other STV key team members with key client policy- and/or decision-makers to better understand clients’ key issues/concerns. Review key clients’ capital, strategic, and other plans (if available) to identify opportunities well in advance of RFP release. Collaboratively record and maintain major Cities opportunities in STV’s Vantagepoint system. Market Leadership Develop an Annual Market Visibility Plan and lead implementation Establish STV as a Cities Market thought and delivery leader. Serve on reginal and national industry organization panels, boards or in leadership positions. Participate actively (ie, present or serve on panels), in Market-related events and conferences. Develop and promote STV-established, Market-specific best practices. Build STV’s culture and team around the Market. Identify and pursue recruits whose hiring can enhance STV’s Market position across Areas. Prepare and deliver periodic presentations internally to promote the Market across STV business organizations. Cultivate interest and develop staff expertise among PMs and technical staff. Mentor Project Managers and Technical Staff. Market Project Delivery Serve as Project Manager or Project Lead, Technical Advisor, Subject Matter Expert, Principal-in-Charge or in other roles. Communicate Market best practices to Project Delivery Team to inform our understanding of client expectations, project management strategies, and/or project performance priorities. Regularly interface with Discipline Leaders and Buildings Area Managers to ensure project delivery aligns with commitments to the client. Time Allocation Guidelines While time allocation is fluid, anticipated allocation initially is: 50% to Market Growth & Major Pursuits. 25% to Market Leadership. 25% to Market Project Delivery.
