Description

Highfield Veterinary Group is looking for a Business Development Manager to help guide our teams and support the continued growth of the business. Working with the Director of Small Animal Veterinary, this role will combine elements of people leadership, operational oversight, and business development.
This is a varied position that will evolve with the business, offering the right candidate the opportunity to shape the role over time.

  • Understands the operational and commercial aspects of a veterinary setting (experience in the veterinary sector is an advantage but not a requirement).
  • Has excellent people skills and can build trust and credibility at all levels.

  • Is organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across branches, helping staff deliver excellent veterinary services and positive client experiences.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of staff, ensuring teams are engaged, motivated, and performing well.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and industry partners to ensure practices are equipped and competitively placed.
  • Play a key role in any expansion of the company, embedding culture and consistency across locations.
  • Provide guidance and support to clinical and non-clinical staff, including regular check-ins to address staffing, client feedback, and service standards.
  • Actively identify and pursue opportunities to strengthen and grow the business.

ROLE DETAILS

  • Hours: 40 per week.
  • Requirements: Full driving licence
