JOB SUMMARY

The Company Driver is responsible for the safe loading, transporting, and unloading of fuel products at customer locations. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to all federal, provincial, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, transport, and unload fuel products at customer sites.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental protocols, including TDG, WHMIS, and CFA regulations.
  • Operate delivery trucks in compliance with company procedures and all applicable laws.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely deliveries to commercial customers.
  • Follow assigned routes; request approval before using alternate routes when necessary.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections, complete shift reports, and submit all required documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to retail staff, customers, and co-workers; escalate concerns to management as needed.
  • Use the onboard computer system (ELD and tracking) to manage customer accounts accurately.
  • Complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) for TDG compliance; log and report any defects.
  • Ensure all preventative maintenance procedures are performed on company vehicles.
  • Respond to emergencies and report all incidents promptly to management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 25 years of age.
  • Valid Class AZ (Class 1) Commercial Driver’s License with no operational restrictions.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience driving AZ/Class 1 vehicles, including at least 3 years on B-Train or 5-axle trucks.
  • At least 2 solid years transporting fuel or bulk hazardous materials in Canada.
  • Clean driver’s abstract.
  • Certifications: TDG, WHMIS, and CFA.
  • Strong knowledge of ELD and tracking systems.
  • Excellent safety focus and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle physical workload and maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Âge minimum : 25 ans.
  • Permis de conduire commercial de classe AZ (classe 1) valide et sans restrictions opérationnelles.
  • Minimum 3 ans d’expérience de conduite de véhicules AZ/classe 1, dont au moins 3 ans sur camions B-Train ou à 5 essieux.
  • Au moins 2 années solides de transport de carburant ou de matières dangereuses en vrac au Canada.
  • Antécédents de conduite propres.
  • Certifications : TMD, SIMDUT et CFA.
  • Excellente connaissance des systèmes ELD et de suivi.
  • Sens aigu de la sécurité et compétences en résolution de problèmes.
  • Capacité à gérer une charge de travail physique et à maintenir une forte éthique de travail et une attitude positive.
