Whether you're teaching in the classroom, preparing nutritious meals, supporting families, or ensuring children arrive safely each day, every role makes a difference. As a Bus Assistant, you'll be one of the first smiling faces children see each school day. You'll help create a safe, welcoming, and caring environment where preschool children feel secure, supported, and ready to learn. If you enjoy working with young children and want to make a meaningful difference in your community, we'd love to have you join our team. Key Responsibilities · Safely assist preschool children as they board and exit the Head Start bus. · Supervise children during transportation while helping maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment. · Work closely with the bus driver to ensure student safety at all times. · Build positive relationships with children and families while representing Action Inc. professionally. · Help children begin and end each school day with encouragement, patience, and kindness. Requirements · High school diploma or GED. · Ability to work positively with preschool-aged children. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Dependability and a commitment to child safety. · Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
