What you will be doing

  • Putting equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping into the bus
  • Folding and unfolding mobility aids
  • Staying with residents to allow staff to attend to other’s needs
  • Engaging with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in the outing
  • Aiding residents with simple mobilisation including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained to do so)
  • Share with the Activities Officer / Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of your shift, a list of residents you have spoken to and information on topics discussed
  • Deliver a high level of customer service, including the timely provision of agreed services to residents/clients and internal customers
  • Drive in accordance with road and safety requirements maintaining due care at all times
