Description **Full-Time 7:45a - 4:30p 5 days/week, flexible schedule** SUMMARY: This position provides safe transportation of residents and staff members to designated sites. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Transportation Safely transports residents and staff members to designated sites. Keeps bus/van in safe working condition. Performs other duties as assigned by Community Engagement Director. Communication Communicates effectively with residents, co-workers and guests. Has daily contact with residents and staff. Administers professional conduct with contacts at various sites where residents are transported. Establishes a positive rapport with all staff members, residents and outside contacts. Promotes and delivers high quality service to the residents, staff members of the facility. Understands, supports and adheres to the mission of St. John’s United. Safety Obeys safety rules of St. John’s United. Identifies, reports, and/or corrects obvious safety hazards. Attends mandatory safety in-services. Mission/Customer Service Supports the growth and actively engages in the Eden Alternative philosophy, including a work environment with plants and animals. Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza vaccinations. Attends all mandatory in-services. Performs other duties as assigned by the Community Engagement Director or person in charge of area where work is being done. Requirements Minimum Requirements Knowledge and skills acquired through completion of high school or GED. Must possess a valid MT Drivers License, CDL endorsement preferred. Knowledge, skills and abilities required Must possess a good driving record. Willingness and ability to be trained on transfers, oxygen operation and maintenance, or take the SJU CNA course. Must be knowledgeable of the Billings community or have ability to use navigation technology such as Google maps. Able to use a mobile phone, computer, and software such as Microsoft Office. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively in a professional manner. Ability to function independently in performing assigned duties. Must be able to respond to management and staff level employees needs in a timely and professional manner. Performs job tasks following established procedures and reports problems or concerns to supervisor. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires the ability to stand, bend, lift, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal Health Care environment.
