TEAM.   Hours:  Part-time  Pay: $20.00/hour   To ensure the safety of children, child care licensing and transportation regulations have been established by the state of Ohio. Mini University team members must always be vigilant about safety. They must follow all state regulations and the SYSTEMS created by Mini University. They must adhere to these policies and procedures during ALL field trips, routine trips, and anytime children are transported to and from the center.   The bus driver is responsible for ensuring the program is fully compliant with ODJFS Guidelines for Transportation/Field Trip Safety-JFS 01233 and ODJFS Transportation/Field Trip Safety Ratio/Second Adult-JFS 01267 during routine trips and field trips.   The driver must have a valid CDL Class A, B, or C driver’s license (WITH S or P endorsements) and be at least 21 years of age provided they have a PERFECT driving record.  Any potential driver that needs to be added to Mini U’s vehicle insurance must be approved by Mini U.’s Insurance company before driving any Mini U vehicle.   Bus driver must also:   1. Be willing and able to impart information and orally communicate with children, families and others.   2. Be willing and able to understand and respond to oral communications and directions.   3. Be willing and able to read, write, understand and respond to written instructions, communications and materials.   4. Have the capacity to ensure the safety of, observe, and assess all situations involving a child, a group of children and co-workers.   5. Have mobility, strength, and dexterity to be able to lift a child weighing up to 40 pounds; interact at each child's level; and retrieve children who wander and/or run from the group.
Responsibilities
The bus driver is responsible for safely transporting children to and from the center while adhering to state regulations and company policies. They must maintain compliance with ODJFS safety guidelines and ensure the well-being of children during all trips.
