Description Part-Time School Bus Driver SANY’s Utica Academy of Science Charter School is seeking a dedicated Full-Time School Bus Driver to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the safety and daily lives of our students. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students and authorized passengers to field trips, athletic events, and other school-related activities. The driver will also ensure that the vehicle remains in safe operating condition by conducting required inspections and following all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a school bus in accordance with New York State and federal regulations. Transport students and authorized personnel to assigned destinations, including field trips, athletic events, and school activities. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus (including tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and safety equipment). Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe vehicle environment. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school policies. Provide courteous and professional service to students, families, and staff. Immediately report any safety concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class B or higher Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements Minimum 3 years of school bus driving experience Clean driving record Fingerprint clearance through the New York State Education Department Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends About Us The Science Academies of New York (SANY) Charter Schools serve the Syracuse and Utica communities as a tuition-free K–12 public charter school district that delivers the quality of a private school education.
