Silverlake, located in Erlanger, KY, is a premier year-round Health Club and Family Center dedicated to promoting family wellness and offering a wide array of youth programs including sports, gymnastics, swimming, preschool, afterschool care, summer camps, fitness, group exercise, and access to the largest member-only WaterPark in Northern Kentucky. We are currently seeking a dependable and customer-oriented Bus Driver to join our team. This role is critical to providing safe and timely transportation for our youth programs and members, ensuring a positive experience as part of our supportive and fun community. The ideal candidate will represent Silverlake’s commitment to excellence and family wellness by safely transporting children and families to and from our facility, coordinating with program staff, and maintaining vehicle upkeep. Responsibilities Operate Silverlake buses safely and efficiently to transport children and members to and from the Health Club and Family Center. Maintain punctual schedules to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off for all youth programs and activities. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist children boarding and leaving the bus to guarantee their safety and comfort. Communicate effectively with parents, program staff, and supervisors regarding transportation schedules and any incidents. Follow all traffic laws and Safety Club policies while driving and maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. Keep the bus clean and orderly, ensuring a welcoming environment for all passengers. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement as required by state law. Proven driving experience with a clean driving record and safe driving habits. Experience working with children or in a family-oriented environment is preferred. Ability to pass background checks and drug screening consistent with transporting youth. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and team members. Physical ability to assist with boarding and securing passengers and managing vehicle equipment. Punctuality, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety at all times during transportation duties.
Responsibilities
The Bus Driver will operate Silverlake buses safely and efficiently to transport children and members to and from the facility while maintaining punctual schedules for all youth programs. This role also involves conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the bus.
