YVR Skylynx is expanding and in search for an experienced, friendly, and dedicated candidate to join our team of proud and professional Skylynx Drivers! Please note that this full-time position is reserved strictly for professional Drivers based or residing in the Squamish and/or Whistler area. Candidates that do not reside in these designated areas will not be considered.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid Class 1 or Class 2 driver’s license with airbrake endorsement.
• 5+ years of clean driving record and safe driving experience very desirable.
• Must reside in Squamish or the surrounding Whistler area.
• High school diploma or equivalent post-secondary degree preferable.
• Confident and experienced in the use of tablets, smart phones, and online passenger reservation booking applications.
• Projects a professional presence and provides exceptional customer service when interacting and engaging with valued Skylynx passengers.
• Passionate commitment to helping our customers and your fellow team of professional Skylynx drivers and staff.
• Being able to maintain professionalism and a ‘cool attitude’ during high-pressure and stressful situations.
• Readiness to collaborate and work in different capacities as part of our professional YVR Skylynx Team.

• Professionally drive large 56-passenger charter coach busses to transport passengers along established routes between Whistler and Vancouver with scheduled stops in Squamish, Downtown Vancouver, and the YVR Vancouver Airport.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in a diligent and comprehensive manner with a special focus on safety.
• Provide passengers with key information about our YVR Skylynx bus service, schedule, and fares.
• Conduct ticket sales, collect fares, and confirm customer check-ins when passengers board the bus.
• Maintain routine communication with our operations dispatch team and Skylynx guest services team to ensure all passengers are accounted for and arrive at their destination on-time and in a safe manner.
• Load and unload passenger luggage, baggage and equipment especially when conducting pick-ups and drop-offs to and from the YVR Vancouver Airport.
• Provide information on points of interest and/or scenic sites along the Sea-to-Sky corridor.
• Maintain exceptional customer service at all times with an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction to set the industry standard as being the best Vancouver to Whistler bus service in the province.
