SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a bus mechanic, or in a similar role with heavy vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance or mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• A valid driving license (preferably with a Category D entitlement, though not essential).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of buses, including routine servicing, diagnostics, and fault finding.
• Carry out inspections to ensure buses meet all safety and quality standards.
• Address mechanical, electrical, and technical issues as they arise.
• Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the fleet runs smoothly and meets operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
