Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade twelve (12), including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, supplemented by training in computer applications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of diversified word and information processing experience, including experience with reception, customer service, creating/receiving purchase orders in Ariba, processing invoices and minute taking
  • Must achieve a 45 WPM typing spee
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the management team, including processing documents, managing calendars, and coordinating travel
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Kathleen Andrews Transit Garage, responding to inquiries, directing visitors, and processing mail and couriers
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting with a range of requests, such as processing invoices, coordinating repairs, and managing stationery orders
  • Offer general support to operators, including processing ID card requests, managing locker assignments, and distributing corporate gifts
  • Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring compliance with the City of Edmonton’s retention policies
  • Prepare and distribute minutes for various meetings, including Joint Health and Safety, Transit Delivery Supervisor, and Bus Operations Clerk meetings
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues with office equipment and arrange for repairs as needed
  • Support the processing of human resources documents, including pre-filling counselling forms and maintaining a tracking sheet of assignments
  • Assist with the coordination of special events and staff appreciation activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
