QUALIFICATION:

Associate degree in communication, English, or public relations from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience related to area of assignment.
or
one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Busi Support Analyst 3 (GSP132)

QUALIFICATION:

Five years of experience in a correctional setting; two years of experience conducting operational assessments/program evaluations. Applicants must have taken and passed the assessment for Unit Manager or Deputy Warden. Exceptional written and oral communications. Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Demonstrated analytical skills; ability to identify discrepancies and authenticate documents. Knowledge about PREA Compliance. Frequent travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Policy Development: Create and update policies and procedures to align with PREA standards and promote a zero-tolerance environment for sexual abuse and harassment.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver PREA training for all staff, volunteers, and inmates, educating them on their rights, reporting methods, and the facility’s commitment to prevention
  • Investigation and Oversight: Coordinate investigations into allegations of sexual assault or harassment, working with internal/Criminal investigations as necessary
  • Monitoring and Auditing: Conduct regular internal assessments and audits of facility practices, procedures, and data to evaluate PREA compliance.
  • Record Maintenance: Oversee the accurate collection and maintenance of all required documentation and statistical data related to PREA compliance.
  • Coordination and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact, collaborating with facility staff, external auditors, law enforcement, and other agencies to ensure a comprehensive compliance process.
  • Reporting: Maintain close communication with agency leadership regarding compliance progress, identifying any gaps, and reporting findings to appropriate agencies and leadership.
  • Victim Support: Coordinate with internal and external Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs) to ensure alleged victims receive immediate medical attention and mental health evaluations
