Description

Council’s Technology and Corporate Services team is committed to delivering high-quality, professional service to our community, stakeholders, and internal teams. Based within our Corporate Planning and Information team, you will gain practical, on-the-job experience in a supportive and professional environment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person who is interested in undertaking a 12 month traineeship in Business Administration.
The role will support the Technology and Corporate Services business unit by developing your skills in administration and customer service, including responding to enquiries, coordinating communication activities, managing documents and data, and assisting with project tracking.
If you’re ready to start your career in business administration and make a positive contribution to Council’s service excellence, we encourage you to apply.
This opportunity is open to both school leavers and mature age applicants who are eligible for admission to the Certificate III in Business Administration and who do not already hold a Certificate III qualification or higher.
The traineeship has an anticipated start date in July 2025 and covers both practical and theoretical requirements supported by Council and TAFE.
Council’s Cadet, Apprentice and Trainee (CAT) Program aims to grow Council’s skilled workforce capacity by creating job opportunities and a talent pipeline for specialised roles and to develop future leaders by providing employment opportunity and professional development experiences that support and complement a related course of external tertiary study. Council’s cadets, apprentices or trainees receive ongoing training, guidance and support from workplace mentors while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
