We’re looking for a Business Administrator to join our Countywide Reviewing Team within the adult social care services in East Sussex. The Business Administrator position is based in Hastings town centre at Cavendish House. We are seeking a dedicated Business Administrator to support the day-to-day administrative duties of the service. This role will also involve ad-hoc tasks that contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the service, enabling our team to deliver exceptional care to some of the most vulnerable adults. Administrative support plays a key role in helping teams deliver their services efficiently and effectively. Business Administrators provide essential assistance to ensure that client enquiries are handled promptly, accurate records are kept, and colleagues receive the support they need to perform their roles successfully. As a Business Administrator, you’ll gain an understanding of the team’s services and the impact they have on people’s lives. Working collaboratively is essential - you’ll need to anticipate and respond to the needs of team members, whether they are based in the office, working remotely, or out in the community. The people we are looking for in this vital position will have: RQF Level 2 English or able to pass an assessment at interview Ability to effectively prioritise a diverse workload to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively to a range of people, including the ability to converse at ease with clients and provide advice in accurate spoken English Ability to work in a team and maintain team connectivity when working remotely with an understanding of confidentiality Working knowledge of using email and word processing software such as Microsoft 365 Office. We work extensively with Microsoft Excel, so a strong understanding of Excel and the ability to generate reports using formulas—enabling the capture and analysis of key service information—is essential. It is vital that all staff fully understand and undertake their role with professionalism and in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedures. We take our safeguarding responsibilities extremely seriously and expect those working with our clients to maintain high standards of vigilance, respect, reporting and professional curiosity at all times.
