ABOUT US

At PSS, we’ve got an important job to do; and that’s to help people make the most of their lives. Whether you’re working directly with the people who use our services, or behind the scenes in one of our offices, every day you’ll be helping to make other people feel happier, healthier and more supported.
We’re a social enterprise or, as we like to call it a ‘business with a heart’. This means that all the money we make goes back into finding new ways to help people. Our aim is simple; we want to help people change their lives for the better – no matter what life throws at them. We’ve got offices across Merseyside, Wales, Manchester, Norfolk, North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the Midlands.

BEING THE BEST VERSION OF YOU

At PSS we believe in something called 70-20-10 learning. That means that 70% of learning comes from first-hand experience, 20% comes from learning from those around us and 10% comes from formal learning like courses and qualifications.
We’re looking for a driven person who wants to continuously grow and get better at what they do using 70-20-10 learning. Professional development is a big deal at PSS, and you’ll need to be up for the challenge of growing and improving for the good of the people we support.

You’ll need:

  • To be a real people person. We’re looking for someone who can build and maintain good relationships with people right across PSS, as well as other external suppliers.
  • Experience of working in an office environment and strong MS Office skills – Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Steely determination, self-belief and drive, along with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a real passion for learning – not just your own learning but supporting everyone else’s learning too

You’ll be supporting people to meet their individual targets, along with supporting the really big-picture stuff – making sure we’re hitting our service and organisational objectives.

  • Supporting the learning and development business partner to run our learning hub effectively. This means keeping all the i’s dotted and all the t’s crossed to make sure we meet all the criteria that the people who monitor us look for. Making sure our training provision is top-notch, and our external regulators are happy is very important.
  • Supporting the admin stuff behind the Learning Hub - adding people to courses, creating sign-in lists, updating attendance records and running reports that the organisation needs to keep an eye on things.
  • Being the host with the most. You’ll support the team in arranging learning and development workshops online and offline, booking the sessions into diaries, making sure people have the resources they need, contacting people who’ll be coming to training, sending out invites and information and doing this in a timely fashion.
