The Role: Business Advisor As a Business Advisor, you will serve as a trusted partner to your clients, helping them identify operational challenges and align business technology solutions that deliver real results. Your focus will be on helping organizations: Mitigate costs Strengthen security and reduce risk Automate manual or inefficient processes Optimize and modernize their technology environment You’ll work across a broad portfolio of solutions, including Managed IT, workflow automation, print & imaging, mailing & shipping, AV solutions, and digital business tools—bringing a holistic point of view to every client engagement. What You'll Do Consultative Sales & Business Impact Lead discovery conversations to understand client workflows, business challenges, goals, and KPIs Identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and cost drivers within existing business processes and technology environments Develop and present value-based recommendations focused on business outcomes—not just technology features Territory & Account Management Manage a defined local territory consisting of assigned accounts and new business opportunities Build long-term client relationships grounded in trust, insight, and measurable results Proactively prospect, network, and grow your pipeline through strategic outreach and referrals Solutions & Collaboration Partner with internal technical and solution specialists to design tailored, scalable solutions Deliver professional presentations, demonstrations, and business cases to decision-makers Maintain accurate CRM activity and document client needs, progress, and next steps Continuous Learning Maintain working knowledge of CBS service offerings, integrations, and emerging technology trends Stay informed on best practices around security, workflow automation, and digital transformation Who We're Looking For We’re looking for a professional sales advisor—someone who combines business acumen with curiosity about technology and a passion for helping organizations operate better. Experience & Background Proven success in B2B consultative sales, ideally within: Managed IT or IT services SaaS or enterprise software Workflow automation or business process solutions Office or business technology solutions Ability to sell at a strategic level by connecting business challenges to technology-driven outcomes Skills & Capabilities Strong consultative selling, discovery, and negotiation skills Ability to analyze operational workflows and articulate value clearly Professional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) CRM proficiency and disciplined pipeline management Technically curious with the ability to simplify complex concepts for business leaders Personal Attributes Confident, professional, and relationship-driven Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership Coachable, collaborative, and motivated by continuous improvement Naturally curious about how businesses operate—and how to make them better Why CBS?
