BUSINESS AGENT - IATSE LOCAL 411 - FULL TIME/ ON-SITE

IATSE Local 411, representing Production Coordinators & Craft Service Providers to the Toronto Film
Industry, is seeking a highly qualified, collaborative individual, to support the team in all aspects of their
operation, as their Business Agent.
Located just inside Mississauga, starting offer $135K - commensurate with experience and education, a
full benefits package, and onsite parking. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, eager to learn, and
available to start October 1, 2025.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

University Degree in Business, Labour Relations or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of management experience within the Film industry, labour relations or related field
Strong knowledge of Ontario Labour Relations, Labour law and ancillary legislation
Lobbying experience and governmental relations
Trustee experience and or understanding would be considered an asset
Knowledge of IATSE would be considered an asset

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Capacity to understand and interpret contract language
Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize competing interests within tight deadlines

Work Location: In perso

Lead negotiator, contract interpretation, and grievance management
Liaise between the Local and signatory productions
Onset or site visits
Promote the Local’s jurisdiction and pursue signatory productions
Communicate and report directly to the President, and the Executive (as a Board)
Membership liaison, managing inquiries, written grievances, health & safety, and any other concerns
Oversee and manage office staff
Create and implement policy
Serve as Trustee for Local 411 Health & Welfare
Mange Finances and budgets
Attend Union, Executive, and Management meetings
Travel will be required, a valid passport and driver’s license is essential
