Oversee and will lead requirements management throughout the lifecycle of high risk, strategic, complex initiatives requiring a cohesive approach to broad business solutions with full traceability to realize initiative benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Business Analysis Accreditation
  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in financial services or wealth management.
  • Strong understanding of registered investment products and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with vendor-managed platforms (e.g., CGI Plan Admin, SIS).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments and using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    Hybrid = 2 days a week in the office

  • Lead, analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders by applying a variety of techniques to probe, elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus on requirements.
  • Identify, document, and validate current state processes and support stakeholders to design the desired future state; provide recommendations and/or direction based on the end-to-end customer experience when making decisions.
  • Oversees, provide support and input to business requirements delivery and monitor/assess/mitigate requirements-related risks, ensure quality outputs and track progress
  • Ensure business processes/systems impacted by requirements are analyzed and the acceptance criteria clearly demonstrates the changes to business process/systems to meet customer needs.
  • Work with Change Management to assess and ensure that customer and employee experience / stakeholder impacts are appropriately identified and managed
  • Manage and oversee the traceability of business requirements.
  • Leverage specialized domain, product, and systems knowledge to have a thorough understanding of the business, product, and vision; provide business/product subject matter expertise as well as recognize and drive the focus toward business value.
  • Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to generate forward-thinking ideas as well as critical thinking to find opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems while assessing options and recommendations for prompt resolution.
  • Ensure work meets associated regulatory and framework controls, standards, and best practices.
  • Support team in managing and building positive relationships with partners and key stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment to delivery framework and objectives.
  • Apply analytical skills to effectively understand business problems, impacted stakeholders, and proposed solutions to ensure alignment to TD’s risk appetite. Identify, document, and actively manage material risks and issues, escalating to appropriate leadership when necessary to ensure the timely and unimpeded progress of work.
  • Promptly manage concerns from stakeholders and ensure timely and effective problem resolution.
  • Support change management planning and activities, including those that ensure operational readiness.
  • Support implementation and post-implementation planning and activities.
  • Support Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) planning and activities, when required.
  • Provides support/oversight and guidance in the delivery of requirements with focus on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analysis Specialist to join the Registered Plans team within TD Wealth. This role will directly support Product Owner in managing and delivering initiatives across a portfolio of Canadian registered products such as RESP, RDSP, TFSA, and RIF, etc.
You will play a critical role in enabling regulatory compliance, driving platform enhancements, and supporting strategic initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and refine business requirements for Registered Plans initiatives.
  • Conduct impact assessments and gap analyses for regulatory changes (e.g., ESDC, Bill 64, CIRO).
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and cross-functional coordination with vendors (e.g., CGI Plan Admin, SIS).
  • Liaise with Compliance, Legal, and Governance teams to ensure alignment on product changes.
  • Maintain documentation and support audit readiness for remediation efforts.
  • Act as the primary Business Analyst and Subject Matter Expert for all Registered Plans initiatives.
  • Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and validation for regulatory remediation efforts.
  • Analyze and document current and future state business processes and system interactions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for development and QA teams.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for multiple Wealth operations teams and external vendors.
  • Manage vendor release cycles and ensure platform needs are addressed from a Registered Plans perspective.
  • Support strategic initiatives impacting Registered Plans.
  • Contribute to testing, UAT coordination, defect triage, and production readiness activities.
